Joe Salwen is a filmmaker from Atlanta, GA who moved to Los Angeles in 2017. He graduated from Northwestern University, where he majored in Film and Television Studies with a focus on Creative Writing for the Media. Joe currently works for The Gersh Agency in Beverly Hills.
At Northwestern, Joe produced the annual music video for Niteskool Productions, released in June 2016. He served as the Script Development Chair of Studio 22 Productions, the on-campus film production company, and he was the Co-Director of Promotions for Dillo Day, the largest student-run music festival in the nation. In November 2014, he produced a music video for Kevin Abstract's "Hell/Heroina," which premiered on Complex.
His favorite films include The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Young Frankenstein. He greatly admires the work of Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, and David Lynch.
Joe roots for the New York Giants, enjoys listening to Tom Petty, and prefers his Eggo Waffles toasted.
